OUR ROOTS & MISSION
STFH was founded in 1987. In 2008, we joined with Bournemouth Churches Housing Association (BCHA) to benefit from the backing and expertise of a larger organisation which shares our values.
Our Mission is to help the homeless by providing safe & secure accommodation, comfort, support and training to enable them to achieve independence and develop lifeskills. Arising from this, we are also committed to raise public awareness of homelessness.
EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY
STFH is committed to equality of opportunity and celebration of diversity. We treat everyone according to their needs and we have a responsibility to combat all forms of prejudice whether based on age, disability, employment status, gender, lifestyle, marital or family status, race, colour, ethnic origin or nationality, religion or other beliefs, sexuality or sexual preference.
STFH currently provides accommodation and support for 29 clients at any one time in eight 3- or 4-bedroomed houses situated in residential areas of Salisbury.
Our support staff carry out regular Health and Safety checks on the houses to ensure the wellbeing of our clients. Repairs and minor improvements are carried out by professional contractors.
Our houses are fitted with comprehensive fire safety provisions to ensure the safety and security of our clients.
