Our Board

We have six board members who are volunteers and are passionate about the work we do. Their experience helps them make decisions about the policy and direction of the organisation.

Maureen Pardy (Chair) – In her early twenties she volunteered for the voluntary service overseas (VSO) and working out of Bristol helped renovate properties for the previously homeless to live in. She also took part in the first ever sponsored walk in Holland to raise funds for the VSO. Most of her working life was spent as a teacher of mathematics in comprehensive schools. Now she is the chair of STFH and the chair of Sarum u3a.

Rachel McMillan – Rachel is currently working as financial controller with BCHA where she has been since 2019. Rachel has employment experience gained over a number of sectors including retail, engineering  and worked for 5 years at Spectrum Housing Group . Rachel is a qualified CIMA accountant with over 20 years’ experience.  Rachel joined the board in 2021.

Gordon Pardy – Following a career in the defence industry specialising in Project Management and Client Relationship Management, Gordon became a trustee of STFH in 2008 and served as Chair for eight years. The Charity Commission rules required him to stand down after nine years, and for the following six years he headed up the Trust’s fundraising activities. He was delighted to return to the Board in 2024 and continues to lead on fundraising.

Keith Phillimore – Keith is an accountant with nearly 30 years’ experience in practice with Evelyn Partners Salisbury office where he has been since joining from University in 1993.  He has also lived in and around Salisbury for the last 30 years.  Keith joined the Board in 2019.

He previously served in parishes in Surrey and south London. Before ordination he took degrees in history and theology, and worked full time in a nightclub and among the homeless. He joined the Board of STFH in 2016.

Ben Thornton – Ben is a solicitor partner in Wilsons LLP Property & Commercial Litigation team. He trained with Wilsons and joined the litigation team on qualification.
